This 40’ standard box car with single sliding door is painted Chinese red with black and white logo and white lettering. It was built in March 1958 by CB&Q at their Havelock, Nebraska shop and ran until the mid 1960s. CB&Q 62988 comes with black Bettendorf trucks and is classified as XM-32F. Box car series 62500-6399 had the distinction of being the first freight cars to be painted Chinese red with the white Burlington lettering.
