This 40
standard box car with sliding door is painted MRL blue with reefer orange sides
and doors, aluminum roof and blue ends. The main lettering is blue on the orange
sides and white on the blue ends. The logo is orange, blue and white. B&O
467434 was built in May 1947 by Pressed Steel Car Company of Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania and serviced in August 1951 at the Mt. Clare, Maryland shop. This
color scheme was designed to promote B&Os Time Saver high-speed service
during the 1951 New York Fair.
